JUDITH's posterous

Autoalley
Auto Alley just recently finished.  I stood in the street and took pictures of tires and license plates, car logos, to make this painting.  I was really fasinated y hub caps, and have been for sometime.  Their geometric shapes and patterns looked good for effects in making a painting.  aI entered this piece in Viewpoint, an art show going on its 42 year, with entries from all over the U.S.  The painting had to be for sale, even though I didn't want to part with it, i put a hefty price tag on it.  We'll see!  This was a fun painting, and I started another several months ago, same thing just more variety.  One of these days I will finish it.  This was, painted on YUPO paper.  What a wild experience-the colors flow and are so bright I find it difficult to go back to regular water color paper. Next on my to-do list is watercolor and fluid acrylics on YUPO paper.

I received notice on Saturday October 4 that my piece had been accepted into the Viewpoint competition.  Wow!
